Recycle your old cell phones, save gorillas and raise money for our Science Competitions Club! Here’s how. We’ll get $4,000 for collecting the most cell phones, and an extra $1,000 for the most votes for our creative campaign. You can vote every day until April 21. Please bring phones to room 1005, the Pinecrest Community Center or Palmetto Bay Village Hall.
Miami Hal (the nom de plume of local relator Hal Feldman) came to the MPSH PTSA’s first General Meeting on August 27 and provided coverage of the event for the Pinecrest Tribune. Get a sneak peek at the article which will be printed in the Sept. 21 edition of the local newspaper here.
MPSH is now an e-waste recycling drop-off point. Leave your old monitors, fax machines, TVs, cell phones and other electronics with Ms. Shlachtman in the science department. The PTSA will earn a cash donation for every item you recycle, and you’ll make the planet a cleaner, better place. It’s a win-win!
The MPSH PTSA won more awards at the 2015 Miami-Dade County Council of PTA/PTSA awards banquet than any other PTSA in the county. Paws for Panthers was honored as a Program of Impact, our PTSA student Council representative Sophie Paredes won an award naming her Leader of Tomorrow, and our environmental contributions were honored as well.
